Shattered Bits was a top down pixel art game inspired by the art of Hyper Light Drifter, as I was very confortable with making pixel art sprites.
The game was set inside a broken videogame, and the player was a character that was poorly generated without arms. He would be accompanied by Bitmix, a white Bit, who is both a character and your main form of attacking, being able to be thrown in the direction of the cursor, and swipe from side to side in front of the player.
The level contains puzzles, enemies and hazards for the player to interact with.
The game breaks the fourth wall and addresses the player directly, and even has some fun twists where a certain character closes the game for you.
The game was designed and developed individually by me, from its initial concept stages to the final game. I designed, drew and animated all the environment and character sprites, as well as composed the music and sounds in FL Studio.
I learned how to program in C# and use Unity from scratch and implement my creative ideas into a videogame. I composed music in FL studio for the first time.
